According to the 2020 Google Trends data, Among Us topped the list of “most searched” games. The company shared a list of ten video games as part of the list including Fall Guys, and Valorant. We also saw Genshin Impact, Ghost of Tsushima, Animal Crossing, and Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla. The list also included The Last of Us 2, Madden NFL 2021, along Jackbox. This interest extended to general all-time search queries in 2020. For context, PlayStation 5 was the tenth most searched term for the year. In addition to the general search terms, gaming dictated the “Where to buy” section for the year.

As per the data, people searched for “Where to buy PS5” the most on Google Search. PlayStation 5 closely followed by toilet paper and face masks. “Where to buy Xbox Series X” is on the fifth spot and “Where to buy Nintendo Switch” on the seventh. The rest of the list focused on COVID-19 related products. It is worth noting that all these search term lists are talking about the trends in the United States. The trends are likely to be different for the Indian market. However, Google has not shared any details about the “most searched games” or “where to buy” details for India.
