FIFA plans to go “head-to-head with EA Sports by launching a rival video game”. This is after FIFA and EA ended their partnership after 30 years.

FIFA president Gianni Infantino has stated that the organization will compete with EA Sports by launching a rival video game. EA Sports declared in May 2022 that it will end its partnership with FIFA. This was owing to problems with licensing costs. Infantino claims that the forthcoming FIFA game will be the best egame for everyone.

Gianni Infantino stated that the new FIFA game - FIFA 25, 26, 27, and so on - will be the best egame for any girl or boy. (via The Times’ chief sports reporter Martyn Ziegler) By the term ‘egame’, Infantino is probably referring to “esports” but there is no absolute confirmation of this, it could mean anything.
Martyn Ziegler wrote in the tweet, “Infantino says FIFA will go head-in-head with EA Sports by launching rival video game (EA Sports refused cash demands to keep FIFA’s name). Further, the president also stated that more news will be revealed about this soon. This might mean that FIFA is planning to launch its first game in the coming years, probably in the year 2024 or 2025.

Previously, in response to criticism of Qatar (a country accused of many human rights abuses) hosting the 2022 World Cup, FIFA President Gianni Infantino declared, "today I feel like a migrant worker" and "gay". So, there’s still more to come for anything to be confirmed.
Last year in May, EA Sports confirmed that it is separating from FIFA because of some issues with the licensing costs. As a result, FIFA 23 was the final game developed in collaboration between EA and FIFA. ‘EA Sports FC’ will be the franchise name for future football games made by the EA.
It seems that EA Sports FC may have a significant competitor now if the statements of Gianni Infantino are true.
