Game developer and publisher Riot Games has announced the launch of League of Legends: Wild Rift on smartphones. However, this launch will be limited to the recently announced Apple iPhone 12 series. According to the announcement, the game is designed to take advantage of the Apple A14 Bionic chip along with 5G. League of Legends: Wild Rift launching on Apple iPhone 12; details
According to the report, the much-anticipated Multiplayer Online Battle Arena (MOBA) game is set to launch “some time” later this year. It is also worth noting that this announcement comes at an interesting time especially if we look at the developments around Fortnite. Apple has not made any gaming-focused announcements in the recent product launches so highlighting Wild Rift is new. Riot Games did not reveal any information about the exact iPhone 12 models that will run the game. Even though all iPhone 12 models will feature an A14 bionic chip and 5G; battery-consumption concerns may change things. Battery requirements around gaming may limit the game to the top-end iPhone 12 Pro and 12 Pro Max.
