The Last of Us Weeks Ahead Trailer breakdown

I’ve played The Last of Us, so I knew what the first episode had to offer. I didn’t think Naughty Dog’s The Last of Us can break my heart a second time but I thought wrong. Pedro Pascal and Nico Parker, who plays Sarah, brought that scene to life in a hauntingly beautiful way. The Last of Us episode 1 also drew plenty of parallels between the adaptation and the source material. From Sarah’s POV in the car to the various graffitis in post-apocalyptic Boston.

The 80+ minute episode has set the premise and now ‘The Weeks Ahead’ trailer builds upon the blocks laid by it. One of the most notable things was that Tommy is indeed alive but seems to be heading on a different path than what Joel had in mind. We see a couple of new faces introduced in the preview trailer who look to set to cross paths with Joel and Ellie on their journey.

There was also heavy focus laid on the killing of the Infected and we saw several Clickers as well in the Weeks Ahead trailer. The Infected people finally turn into Clickers which is the last stage of the infection. The Last of Us video game is known for the relationship that Joel and Ellie developed on their troubled journey.

You can already notice a hint of that, starting to build in the new trailer with Ellie trying to understand the man who’s protecting him. Joel, on the other hand, looks reluctant so far to connect and wants to carry on treating Ellie as cargo on just another mission.
