In the world of Sims which is basically a virtual reality game, it’s no news flash that pocketing a job is important to buy things and pay your bills. And with the help of this free guide, you’ll be able to do exactly that.
For those who don’t know yet, Sims 4 is free on Epic games and Origin to download and play. The Sims 4 offers a comprehensive life simulation experience, letting it’s players unleash their creativity through house-building, Sim creation (which is basically designing your own character), and living through the game.
Within this virtual world, you can nurture relationships, start families, and guide your Sims toward fulfilling careers that match their aspirations. The game carries a vast array of job options, spanning from the thrilling life of a secret agent to the more modest role of owning a bakery or being a barista.
In The Sims 4, Sims have multiple avenues to secure employment. Players have the option to initiate their Sim's career journey in various ways. For instance, if players opt for Story Mode in Create-A-Sim, their Sims can be assigned a random career alongside traits and starting funds.
Alternatively, Sims can secure a job after being moved into a lot.
Regardless of the path players choose for their Sims, the need for income is always necessary to run the house. While cheats and alternative methods are available, sending Sims to work remains the most dependable (and ethical) way to earn same-day income.
To get a job, Sims can get a computer, phone, or use the Career Panel located at the lower right-hand corner of the screen. Each Sim starts off with a cell phone, while computers can be purchased or accessed at public places like library lots. Players need to select their Sim for employment and choose the "Join a Career" option to bring up the job menu. This interactive menu allows Sims to explore and select from a variety of career options.
In The Sims 4, a diverse array of job opportunities is available, like freelance work, part-time positions, conventional careers, and gigs (if players have specific downloadable content installed). Sims who have reached the Teen stage or older can venture into the world of employment. Each job is accompanied by an hourly wage, designated working hours, and a concise description outlining the nature of the tasks involved.
To get a job, players can select from the available options. After that, the chosen Sim will receive a notification indicating their first workday and, if applicable, any pre-required tasks they can undertake to get a head start. Sims are allowed to switch careers at any point without any penalties. However, if a Sim decides to return to a previously left career, they will commence from the initial level instead of retaining the career level they had reached before switching.
During their designated workdays, Sims will receive a notification one hour prior to their work start time, serving as a reminder that it's nearly time to head to their jobs. Typically, Sims will automatically leave for work as scheduled, unless they're engrossed in a different task. Therefore, it's important to monitor the time closely.
And that’s all! The more you work, the more funds you can save up to buy fancy new stuff for your house.
