Cod Black Ops 6 Season 1: New Zombies Map, Citadelle des Morts, and Directed Mode Revealed

Season 1 of Black Ops 6 is dropping on November 14, bringing tons of fresh content like weapons, maps, and modes to keep the hype going after an epic launch. One of the most exciting (and mysterious) additions? The new Zombies map, Citadelle des Morts, set to release later in the season.

 

 

The New Zombies Map: Citadelle des Morts

While several maps are coming with Season 1, Citadelle des Morts is the only one specifically for Zombies mode. This new map will be the third Zombies location in Black Ops 6, joining Terminus and Liberty Falls. With just three maps for Zombies (compared to 16 in multiplayer), each one feels extra special, and this one’s shrouded in mystery. Here’s what we know so far:
    •    Story Setup: The plot picks up with Weaver, Maya, Carver, and Grey following clues to an abandoned castle in Europe after leaving Terminus. Expect eerie “ghoulish horrors,” a medieval village, and a few surprises hidden deep within the castle walls.
    •    The Hype Factor: Activision kept a lot of details under wraps to build suspense, only teasing that players will uncover something mysterious within the Citadelle. What secrets lie inside? We’ll just have to wait and see!

Directed Mode: A New Way to Play Zombies

Alongside new maps, a brand-new mode is coming to Zombies: Directed Mode. If you’re more interested in uncovering the lore than chasing high scores, this mode is for you. Here’s what it changes:
    •    Story-Focused Playthrough: Directed Mode highlights the main quest objectives and limits rounds to 15, making it a more story-driven experience.
    •    Reduced Side Content: Side quests and S.A.M. trials are disabled, so it’s all about the main story. It may not be ideal for those looking to farm essence, but it’s perfect for players wanting to immerse themselves in Zombies lore.
