From October 28 to November 13, Phasmophobia is ramping up the spooky factor with the Blood Moon Event, transforming the lobby warehouse into a haunted setup and adding a new Event Board. This event is a community-wide challenge, so grab your ghost-hunting gear and join in!
What's the Blood Moon Event All About?
The Blood Moon Event brings together Phasmophobia players worldwide—from seasoned PC veterans to fresh console hunters. No single player can complete the event alone, but each of you contributes to unlocking rewards for the entire community. With eerie aesthetics and amped-up ghost difficulties, it’s the perfect season to dive back into this ghost-hunting favorite.
Blood Moon Event Objectives & Rewards
Ready to take part? Here’s what you’ll need to do on any Blood Moon map:
- Identify Ghosts Correctly: Look for all the usual clues but watch out for trickster Mimics!
- Complete Optional Objectives: Check the mission board in the van for a list of extra tasks.
- Photograph Totems: Each map has at least one red Totem. Snap a picture to make it vanish and rack up points!
Your progress will contribute to the community score, visible on the Event Board in the warehouse. Each stage of the event unlocks new rewards when it reaches 100%.
More Challenges, More Rewards
The Blood Moon Event isn’t a walk in the park. Not only are maps decorated with haunting new visuals, but ghosts are now faster, more aggressive, and much tougher to escape. You’ll want to stay close to hiding spots! But with increased difficulty comes a 10% boost in end-game rewards. And yes, you can complete these objectives on any difficulty level.
Blood Moon Event Maps
To rack up points, you’ll need to hunt on specific Blood Moon maps, marked with red icons on the contract board:
- 42 Edgefield Road: A medium modern house with two floors and a basement.
- 13 Willow Street: A cozy little house with a basement.
- Point Hope: A lighthouse map with multiple floors for serious explorers.
- Grafton Farmhouse: A creepy old farmhouse that’s not for the faint-hearted.
You'll know you’re on an event map when you see the sky glow red and rooms filled with red candles. Spooky vibes guaranteed!
Blood Moon Rewards
What’s Halloween without some treats? Here’s what the community can unlock by completing each event stage:
- Stage 1: Blood Moon ID Card.
- Stage 2: Upgraded ID Card.
- Stage 3: Blood Moon Trophy & permanently unlocked Blood Moon weather.
Unlocking the final stage rewards the much-anticipated Blood Moon Trophy, proudly displayed in the warehouse trophy cabinet. Plus, the Blood Moon weather option will remain available for future ghost hunts, adding that sinister ambiance and tougher ghosts.
How to Claim Your Blood Moon Rewards
After the community completes each stage, head to the Blood Altar in the lobby warehouse and interact with it to claim your rewards. Keep an eye on the Event Board to see when new rewards are available!
