Get ready for a hauntingly good time as EA drops The Sims 4: Life and Death DLC, just in time for Halloween! This spooky season expansion brings a ton of new gameplay, letting you step into the afterlife like never before. Whether you want to play as the Grim Reaper, plan some killer funerals, or even become a ghost with special powers, this pack has it all.
Release Date: Mark Your Calendars!
The Sims 4: Life and Death is set to launch on October 31, 2024—perfect for your Halloween plans. It will be available on PC, Mac, PlayStation 5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One.
Welcome to Ravenwood: Where the Dead Walk Among Us
The expansion introduces a brand-new, delightfully eerie world called Ravenwood, where the living and dead chill together like it’s no big deal. You’ll get to explore three spooky neighborhoods:
- Crow’s Crossing
- Whispering Glen
- Mourningvale
Each one is filled with ghostly residents and a haunting vibe that’s perfect for spooky storytelling.
Rebirth and Soul’s Journey
One of the coolest features in this expansion is Rebirth. When your Sim bites the dust, they can go on a Soul’s Journey to earn their way back to the living world. Complete goals and aspirations along the way, and you might unlock the rare Burning Soul trait, which is definitely something to brag about!

Hang with the Grim Reaper (Seriously!)
For the first time ever, you can buddy up with Grim himself. You can start as a Grimtern (yep, an intern for the Reaper) and work your way up in the Reaper Profession. Not into that? Try out the Undertaker Career instead! You’ll be the one helping Sims transition to the afterlife, and you’ll rack up some ghostly achievements while you’re at it.
New Interactions: Bucket Lists, Grief, and More
Life and death are getting way more real in The Sims 4. Now your Sims can create Bucket Lists, experience Grief in different ways, and add depth to their digital lives. From planning fun funerals to unlocking new ghostly powers, this expansion pack gives your Sims’ lives (and deaths) a serious twist.
More Content on the Horizon
On top of all the afterlife fun, EA has been letting content creators make their own official kits, so expect to see even more creepy custom content in the future. The Sims 4: Life and Death is here to bring some macabre magic to your Sims experience, and we can’t wait to see what spooky adventures you get up to!
