The Indian Free Fire community will now have to wait for a few more weeks for the official launch of Free Fire India.

Garena, the Singaporean gaming giant announced the comeback of Free Fire on August 31 in a whole new version tailored for the Indian audience. The company scheduled the launch of Free Fire India on September 5 on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store. However, according to the latest update, the game's launch has been delayed for a few more weeks with the exact timeline not being stated. Garena stated the reason behind the delay and said that the company wants to ensure a seamless gaming experience for the users and is working towards the refinement of the game.

Here's the official statement released by Garena:

"We are delighted by the overwhelmingly enthusiastic response from our Indian community to the announcement of the launch of Free Fire India. To ensure we can offer the best possible experience to all of our Free Fire India fans from the start, we will postpone the launch by a few more weeks. In addition to refining the gameplay, we are taking some time to fully complete our localization of the Free Fire India experience.

We would like to thank our Free Fire India community for your support and hope that you will bear with us while we work on bringing you the ultimate battle royale experience."

With this announcement, the Indian Free Fire community has expressed their disappointment as the wait for the game continues. Now, it would be important to see whether this delay would affect the timeline of the Free Fire India Championship (FFIC) 2023.

Garena Free Fire made a comeback after facing a suspension of a year and a half from the Indian Government. The game was removed from the Indian Play Store and App Store in February 2022. Garena officials have stated that the new app Free Fire India has been developed by abiding all rules and regulations of the Indian authorities.
