Krafton rolls out BGMI 2.8 update, Check what's new

Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI), India's most beloved battle royale game, is taking a spine-chilling turn in its latest Version 2.8 Update, just in time for Halloween. In a surprising twist, the battlegrounds are now overrun by hordes of the undead, unleashing a wave of new enemies, challenges, abilities, and items for players to explore. Additionally, a new Metro Royale Season and Cycle 5 Season 14 have been introduced to keep the excitement levels soaring.

Running from the update's release until November 26th, Erangel, Miramar, and Livik maps will serve as the battlegrounds for this nerve-wracking encounter. The source of this eerie transformation is the Aerolith, once a dedicated research lab, now a desolate wasteland teeming with valuable supplies and resources. Players brave enough to enter this forsaken domain are granted a respawn card, a precious lifeline for those daring to face the undead.

Within the Aerolith Lab and Outpost on these maps, players must prevent the Aerolith from absorbing too many Mutants. Should it succeed in this sinister task, it will summon the formidable Rage Berserker, making survival even more challenging. However, defeating this boss will reward players with a special crate packed with valuable loot.

Version 2.8 introduces three terrifying variations of Zombies. In addition to the Mutant, there's the towering Berserker, armed with weapons and shields, and the nimble Ripper, capable of leaping and dashing swiftly to attack and evade. Taking down these formidable foes will test your skills, but the rewards are truly exhilarating.

Navigating the eerie Aerolith Lab, players will encounter various zombies, with the formidable Rage Berserkers lurking closest to the Aerolith itself. Defeating these monstrous adversaries yields valuable genetic materials that grant extraordinary abilities. The Mutation Gauntlets, massive arm-mounted weapons, deliver devastating melee assaults, while the fearsome Smash ability can obliterate anything in your path. There's also the razor-sharp Mutation Blade, designed for swiftly carving through foes as you sprint across the battlegrounds, leaving chaos in your wake.

For swift transportation across both land and sea, players can now hop aboard the Maglev Hoverboard, obtainable from the Lab. And as if that's not enough, there's a Halloween surprise coming in October for those who enjoy a good scare.

But that's not all! Cycle 5 Season 14 has been updated with fresh content, rewards, and cosmetics for players to unlock and enjoy. Additionally, a world-renowned performance car brand is set to make its debut in the game, promising even more excitement for fans.
