Just hours after the initial reports about a possible PUBG Mobile 2 launch, Krafton has just shared some official information. The parent company for PUBG Studio just shared the official name and the first trailer for the upcoming game. It has named the upcoming game, PUBG: New State and as per the leaks, it is set in the future. In addition, the company also shared the first trailer for the game showcasing the gameplay elements of New State. This trailer also includes the official poster of the upcoming game outlining new aspects like killer drones. Here is everything we know about PUBG: New State including the gameplay style, trailer, and pre-registration.

PUBG: New State trailer out, details

Krafton confirmed that PUBG: New State is set to launch on iOS and Android. As noted in the past, it seems like a futuristic take on the Battle Royale genre. We have already seen some elements of this in its rival Call of Duty: Mobile. As per the leaks, the game is set in 2051 on a new map called Tori. Some of the highlights that we noticed in the trailer include drones, new weapons, shields, and more. In addition to this, the game is also likely to explore the background connections and stories around the PUBG universe. However, Krafton has not shared any information on how the jump in time will affect existing characters.

It also looks like PUBG: New State will also introduce a new in-game weapon customization option. This new option will allow players to make real-time changes to their weapons right inside a match. We have already seen such mechanics in other Battle Royale titles like the Apex Legends. In addition, a report from The Verge also noted that PUBG Studio will be behind the development of New State. For some context, Tencent was behind the development of PUBG Mobile.

The game developer claims that New State will offer “ultra-realistic graphics that push the limits of mobile gaming.” Krafton stated that the title will launch on Android and iOS, later in the year. The game developer will also alpha test the game before the launch. Krafton has already rolled out the pre-registration listing page for PUBG: New State on Google Play Store.

PUBG: New State India launch

One can visit the PUBG: New State listing on the Google Play Store to double-check what we have highlighted in our previous reports. The listing page for the game outlined that “This item isn’t available in your country” with no pre-registration option available. This means that the game will not come to India because of the position of the Indian government. However, Krafton has not shared any official information around it at the time of writing. We have reached out to the company for more clarity around the India launch of PUBG: New State. However, it is likely that the game won’t make its way to the market.
