Assassin's Creed Black Flag Remake - Much Sooner Than We Expected?

After series fans enjoyed some fun swashbuckling, high seas adventures with Edward Kenway, it could be sooner rather than later that the pirate assassin makes an appearance again in this fan-favourite Assassin's Creed title.

These plans may be further delayed, as the reported recent delay of Assassin's Creed Shadows, which sources claimed had kicked Ubisoft's entire content pipeline into disarray. However, the remake may still come out within the predicted five years from now.

This remake will be part of a larger plan by Ubisoft to expand the Assassin's Creed franchise, with ten titles planned in the near future. For the backlog, this would mean both the Assassin's Creed Jade, mobile-first release, and the multiplayer project, codenamed "Invictus," scheduled in the same window as the remake of Black Flag.
