BGMI Caster Mazy Under Fire: Allegations of Bullying and Mental Harassment Shake the Community

  • February 15, 2025 (UPDATED: February 16, 2025 21:19 IST)

The esports industry in India is booming, but incidents like this highlight the cracks beneath the surface.

The BGMI esports scene is no stranger to heated debates, but this time, the spotlight isn’t on teams or players—it’s on the voices behind the game. A brewing conflict between two well-known BGMI commentators, Zishan Alam aka Mazy and Ankiiibot, has taken center stage, with both involved in a public disagreement over casting styles and professionalism.

A History of Collaboration and Rising Tensions

Mazy and Ankiiibot’s professional relationship goes back to 2021, when they first shared the casting desk for BGIS. Over the years, both have established themselves as key figures in BGMI commentary, providing live analysis and excitement for fans.

However, recent events suggest that their partnership has not always been smooth. According to Ankiiibot, the two have often had differences in their approach to casting, leading to moments of tension behind the scenes. While professional disagreements are natural, things took a more public turn during a recent BGMI ESL broadcast.

The Incident That Sparked the Debate

The situation escalated when Mazy, while live on YouTube, openly critiqued Ankiiibot’s casting of a particular match. The moment in question involved GodLike Esports’ Admino, who secured a clutch six-kill play. While the match itself was just another intense moment in competitive BGMI, Mazy’s comments suggested that Ankiiibot was displaying bias in his commentary.

This did not sit well with Ankiiibot, who felt the matter could have been addressed privately. According to him, since Mazy lives nearby, he could have simply made a phone call and discussed the issue directly. Instead, Mazy chose to highlight it in a public setting, making it a talking point among the audience.

The Community Reacts

This disagreement has since sparked conversations within the BGMI casting community. Several prominent commentators, including Ocean Sharma, Spero, Salty, Sardarjiyt, and Insanearena, have shared their own experiences of professional differences with Mazy in the past. While some see this as a simple case of on-air criticism, others believe it reflects a deeper issue regarding communication among casters.

Not the First Time

For those following the BGMI scene closely, this isn’t the first time Mazy has been at the center of a heated discussion. Over the years, he has had public disagreements with notable figures in the gaming industry, including Ghatak, Goldy, and Thug. In most cases, these conflicts began with statements made on live streams, followed by clarifications and eventual resolutions.

Where Does This Go From Here?

While this current dispute remains a hot topic among BGMI fans, it’s unclear how it will be resolved. Both Mazy and Ankiiibot have been key contributors to BGMI esports, and their commentary plays a crucial role in shaping the viewing experience.

In a fast-growing esports industry, professional disagreements are bound to happen. The key lies in how they are addressed—whether through private discussions, open forums, or simply moving forward with mutual respect.

For now, the BGMI community waits to see if this is just another temporary clash or the beginning of a lasting rift between two of its most recognized voices.
