PATHETIC! Ohio Man Commits Sexual Assaults to Minor by Playing Fortnite.

The FBI has apprehended Nicholas Ranieri, a resident of Ohio, for allegedly engaging in the exchange of video games and items with young players in return for sexual acts.

In shocking news, an Ohio man has been busted by the FBI for leveraging the popular Battle Royale Game alongside video conferencing platform Zoom to perform sexual activities with minors. This revelation has created a stir in the worldwide gaming community and forced them to think about the safety of minors in the community.

Nicholas A. Ranieri, 27, from Minord, Ohio, was arrested on 26th February 2024 and faced serious after being found guilty of attempting sexual acts to minors. The case gathered attention when the FBI approached the Sheriff of Scioto County in Ohio about a potential suspect who was indulging in explicit activities with minors online via multiple platforms. 

According to the sources, Ranieri bought some games and items to underage males if they agreed to perform sexual acts and watched him do the same.

A collaborative effort between the Scioto County SVU and the FBI resulted in the identification of an out-of-state juvenile victim and the execution of a search warrant at Ranieri’s residence. During the search, various electronics, such as computers, gaming systems, and cell phones, were seized and are now being used as evidence in the ongoing investigation. Ranieri has been taken into custody and is currently being held on a USD 125,000 bond. Additional charges may be brought against him as the investigation progresses.

This incident underscores the importance for parents and guardians to engage in open communication with their children regarding the potential risks of online interactions and the necessity of reporting any suspicious or uncomfortable situations.
