The Finals: Everything you need to know about the different modes

THE FINALS offers a thrilling FPS experience with map destruction and a range of game modes to suit both competitive and casual players. Rather than sticking to the usual Team Deathmatch and Domination modes, it introduces unique extraction-style game modes that appeal to a wide audience. With destructible environments adding to the excitement, it promises an engaging first-person experience that gamers of all types can enjoy.

THE FINALS offers four distinct game modes: Tournament (Cashout), Quick Cash, Bank It, and Power Shift, each offering a unique gameplay experience.

In Tournament (Cashout), players can choose between Ranked and Unranked modes. While the gameplay is the same, Ranked mode introduces a ranking system where wins and losses impact the player's rank. Unranked mode, on the other hand, is perfect for those looking for a more relaxed gaming experience without the pressure of ranking.

In Quick Cash mode, the intensity ramps up as one of the four squads from Cashout is removed, leaving three teams to compete. Players will experience faster respawns and extractions compared to Cashout, creating a quicker-paced gameplay. While still offering a similar experience to Unranked Tournament, Quick Cash is slightly more relaxed. Additionally, Quick Cash features only one vault, streamlining the gameplay for faster action.

In Bank It mode, players compete to collect as many coins as possible within a set time frame. The objective is for one of the four teams to reach the maximum coin count to secure victory. Alternatively, if no team reaches the maximum, the winner is determined by the team with the most coins when time expires.

Power Shift mode pits two teams of five against each other on a moving platform. It's essentially a tug-of-war scenario where one team strives to pull the platform to their side by standing on it, while the opposing team aims to reclaim control. Victory goes to the team that successfully guides the platform to its destination or progresses the farthest by the end of the time limit.

THE FINALS is accessible on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S platforms. It adopts a free-to-play model, meaning you can jump in without any upfront costs. However, you do have the option to purchase Multibucks, the in-game currency used for acquiring battle passes and cosmetic items.
