The Last of Us Episode 1: Watch for free on YouTube

HBO has gone with this approach before when they released the first episode of House of the Dragon for free to attract more audiences. The Last of Us is premiering weekly on HBO for those in the US and other regions. Those in the UK can watch it on Sky and NowTV.

The Last of Us episode 2 had record growth when it comes to viewing figures compared to the opening episode, as per HBO. The second episode had 5.7 million viewers which is a 22% growth over the show’s debut episode. That is the largest second-week growth in HBO’s history so far.

“This marks the largest week two audience growth for an HBO Original drama series in the history of the network,” said HBO on Monday.
