Wild Hearts PC patch released but players reported that it still hasn't addressed major issues

Low frame rates and persistent stuttering have been a problem in Wild Hearts since day one.

EA and Omega Force have finally released a Wild Hearts PC patch to improve performance. Players have suffered from performance issues such as stuttering, audio glitches, CPU bottleneck issues and more. The newly released patch for both PC and consoles looks to address these issues but PC players have voiced out that the patch didn’t really fix much of their problems.

Low frame rates and persistent stuttering have been a problem in Wild Hearts since day one. Last week, Omega Force announced that a patch to fix these issues will be released this week. Now that the patch has arrived, players are still reporting that it hasn’t fixed the performance issues.

Wild Hearts PC official patch notes

Omega Force has released the official patch notes on Reddit, detailing the various fixes introduced by them.

  • The developers said they've solved the CPU bottleneck issue for certain high-end CPUs.
  • They've also fixed 'audio stacking issues' and mentioned that using 5.1/7.1 audio workaround is no longer needed on PC.
  • Render issue (disco lights) when using an AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX has been fixed.
  • Also fixed a save/load screen issue that was causing corruption of save data.

Alongside the PC patch, a small PlayStation 5 patch was also released. This aims to fix a crash on systems that have more than 100 users on their block list. Omega Force said that they’re working on bringing these same fixes to the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S by next week.

In our review of Wild Hearts, I dubbed it a deserving alternative for fans of the monster-hunting genre, thanks to its innovative Karakuri system.
