Lord Icons in Marvel Rivals are visually unique character icons that tell others you have mastered the highest skill level with a specific hero. However, they don't add to a hero's power or provide players with any gameplay benefits. Consider them a badge of honor indicating commitment to a particular character. But since they look cool, we'll tell you how to get them and how long does it take to get Lord in Marvel Rivals?
How long does it take to get Lord in Marvel Rivals?
In this guide, we’ll explain how you can earn the hero proficiency and earn their Lord icon for your favourite hero. How long it will take to acquire a Lord Icon greatly depends on the following:
- Playtime of the Hero: The easiest path to becoming more proficient is playing the hero. Playtime earns proficiency experience from the game.
- Finishing Hero-Specific Challenges: Every hero has specific challenges that, when finished, give them proficiency experience. These challenges tend to be about playing the hero's role well (e.g., taking damage as a Vanguard, dishing out damage as a Duelist, healing as a Strategist), acquiring a number of KOs or assists, and activating their abilities.
- Efficiency of Play: Those who actively attempt to finish the proficiency challenges and pay attention to playing their hero well will level up naturally faster than those who play less seriously.
- Game Mode: While proficiency can be gained in any mode, some players find that shorter, more action-packed modes like "Doom Match" or "Conquest" allow for quicker completion of combat-related challenges. Some players even use custom modes to farm playtime or specific objectives.
Based on gameplay experiences, achieving the "Lord" level of proficiency with one hero will require 15-40 hours of intensive playing time on the same character. Certain players specializing in individual, quicker-to-fulfill challenges may reach it faster, whereas others, less dedicated or those who are struggling with some challenges, may need longer. Active players have suggested longer durations, and said it could take over 50 hours, for particular heroes or styles of play.
Proficiency Levels:
You must move up through five levels of proficiency to reach the Lord Icon for one hero:
- Agent: The entry level.
- Knight: The second level.
- Captain: The third level.
- Centurion: The fourth level.
- Lord: The last level, revealing the Lord Icon.
Each level above also provides additional cosmetic rewards like kill alerts and hero sprays.
How to Increase Proficiency:
- Visit the Heroes Menu and choose the Heroes.
- Go to Proficiency and find the complete list of the challenges you have to complete to get the reward.
- Play and Finish Challenges: Play games as that hero and consciously attempt to finish the provided challenges. Even playing the hero passively builds skill through game time.
- Lord Icons Cost
It should be remembered that Lord Icons are available for unlocking by mere gameplay and improving a hero's skills. They do not involve any real money or in-game currency in getting them. They are unlocked by dedication and playing time with a specific hero.
