Hogwarts Legacy: San Bakar's Trial Guide to getting your own Graphorn mount, San Bakar's pensieve and more
Here's everything you need to know about San Bakar's Trial, one of the main quests towards the end of the game, Hogwarts Legacy.
If you are playing or are interested in playing Hogwarts Legacy, you know that magical beasts will be a part of your magical journey. To the extent that you also get to tame them and mount the Hippogriff and the Graphorn. Naturally, this has grown on to become one of the biggest attractions of the game, and you may be wondering how and where to unlock these beasts. Here’s where you can find out all about the side quest that gets you the Graphorn as a ground mount- San Bakar’s Trial.
San Bakar's Trial- Guide
San Bakar’s Trial is part of the main storyline “Prepare for your OWLs”. Prepare for your OWLs is the tenth chapter of the 13 chapters that are there as a part of the main storyline. San Bakar’s Trial is the 38th main quest of the 42 quests available in the main story.
San Bakar’s Trial is the last of the four keeper’s trials. The quest starts in the map chamber as San Bakar points you to Cragcroft Shore- the location of the upcoming trial. You are to look for a “face of stone and tendrils”. Professor Fig informs you that they’ll meet you at the location of the trial, where you can in the meanwhile, travel to on your broom.
Once there in Cragcroft Shire, you will find stone carving of a Graphorn head hidden behind foliage that can be revealed using Incendio or Confringo. As the Graphorn carving reveals itself, a puzzle will activate itself, prompting Professor Fig to expound that a Graphorn needs to be brought to location. The “Lord of the Shore”, or the Graphorn that you are looking for can be found in Clagmar Coast.
Tame the Graphorn
A Graphorn needs to be subdued in order to be tamed. This presents to you a boss fight with the Graphorn in order for you to bring one to Cragcroft Shire, or simply add one to your vivarium. Regardless, completion of this quest will add the Graphorn as a mount alongside your broom, and the Hippogriff.
Ride back to Cragcroft Shire on your Graphorn, ramming through all sorts of obstacles on your path, including bandit and poacher camps, without dealing any damage yourself. However, do keep a track of the stamina bar of the Graphorn which does deplete in case it takes a lot of hits from enemies.
San Bakar's Pensieve
Once at Cragcroft Shire, as the Graphorn steps on the puzzle, on the ground, a gateway leading to the final pensieve memory of San Bakar appears. Once you view the memory you can head back to the map chamber for further instructions.
