ImperialHal calls Apex Legends "boring", calls out developers for major changes
The TSM in-game leader's concerns extend beyond the competitive scene. He has openly voiced his apprehension about the overall state of the game.

In recent Apex Legends seasons, both professional and casual players have voiced their dissatisfaction with what they perceive as a lack of substantial updates from Respawn Entertainment.
Among those expressing concerns, ImperialHal, the reigning ALGS champion, has emerged as a prominent advocate for change. One of his notable suggestions for Respawn Entertainment is to adopt a strategy similar to that of Fortnite by introducing Cash Cup-like events to boost the competitive scene and engage viewers. This proposal aims to infuse new energy into ranked play and competitive gaming within Apex Legends, creating more excitement and opportunities for players and fans alike.
The TSM in-game leader's concerns extend beyond the competitive scene. He has openly voiced his apprehension about the overall state of the game. ImperialHal's fear is that Apex Legends might not have a lasting impact if it continues without significant seasonal updates and improvements
Despite these concerns, ImperialHal continues to dedicate himself to Apex Legends, even during the off-season for the ALGS. He acknowledges that the non-competitive aspects of the game have become somewhat "boring" for him. When looking at the available playlists, from ranked to public matches and the firing range, he perceives a sense of redundancy that leaves him craving more excitement.
The player said, "I find the actual gameplay experience, particularly outside of competitive play, rather monotonous. Whether it's ranked matches, public lobbies, or even the firing range, it all seems quite repetitive to me. This sense of repetitiveness has persisted for an extended period, making it challenging for me to muster enthusiasm. Over the past few seasons, the only aspect that has kept me engaged and sped up time for me has been competitive play, involving scrims and tournaments."
ImperialHal further elaborated that diversifying his gaming experience, even through streaming other titles, isn't a guaranteed solution to alleviate his dissatisfaction with Apex Legends' ranked mode. Nevertheless, he emphasized his unwavering commitment to his team and his role, stating, "My reduced enjoyment of Apex ranked, compared to how it used to be, won't deter me from fulfilling my responsibilities within the team."
In summary, ImperialHal's concerns mirror those of many players who have grown increasingly frustrated with the lack of refreshing changes in Apex Legends. While he acknowledges the game's current state as "boring," his commitment to competitive play and his team remains steadfast, underscoring the potential for revitalization if Respawn Entertainment addresses the community's concerns and brings meaningful updates to the game.
