You can now connect your Pokemon Go account with your Pokemon Scarlet and Violet accounts. This announcement comes as a part of the latest Pokemon Presents showcased yesterday for Pokemon Day 2023. Connecting your accounts will let you send Postcards to the Nintendo Switch titles, that will affect your games with enhanced opportunities. Here’s everything you need to know.
How to connect Pokemon Go to Pokemon Scarlet and Violet
Check into Pokemon Go’s option of “Connected Devices and Services” available in the Settings menu of the Poke Ball. You will find a section for Nintendo Switch, which will allow you to “Connect to Nintendo Switch”. You can then pair your accounts by selecting your Nintendo device from the available options.
Subsequently you need to accept the account pairing from your Scarlet and Violet profiles as well. To do so, you will receive the request as a Mystery Gift in the Poke Portal. Select it to reveal the option “Connect to Pokemon Go”. This will allow you to pair with a Pokemon GO Account. Confirm the pairing by selecting “Yes”.
Rewards
Pairing your Pokemon Go accounts with your Scarlet and Violet accounts will allow you to send Postcards from the former to the latter. Sending Postcards to Scarlet and Violet will affect the pattern of Vivillon’s appearance, alongside letting you catch the Roaming Form Gimmighoul.
The Pokemon Company informs that they’ll soon add Pokemon Home support to Scarlet and Violet this year. Once that happens, you will be able to take your Gimmighoul along when you go exploring in the Paldean region in Scarlet and Violet.
