Respawn confirms no new Legend is arriving with Apex Legends Season 16 Revelry
There’s never been a season so far in the history of the game when a new legend was not released.
Apex Legends is currently gearing up towards the launch of Season 16, which will celebrate the game’s fourth anniversary. Respawn Entertainment’s battle royale game dropped back in 2019 and has been one of the top battle royale games around since.
There are a lot of changes coming to Apex Legends, including balance changes, a completely new class system, a new game mode, a new weapon and more.

The developers, however, also confirmed that no new legend will be added this season. There’s never been a season so far in the history of the game when a new legend was not released.
There were rumours of a new legend coming but those have been put to rest by the developer’s announcement.
Catalyst remains the latest Apex Legend
Season 15 introduced Catalyst who is the latest Apex Legend to join the roster. She has control over ferrofluid, a substance she uses to create spikey traps. This trap deals 15 damage per second if enemies walk over it and it also slows them down. Her ultimate ability creates a wall that is bullet-proof and when enemies walk through it, they get slowed down and blinded for a short while.
Catalyst is also the first transgender character in Apex Legends. Apex Legends has its fair share of LGBTQ+ representation though, with Bloodhound who is a binary character and Gibraltar, a gay man.
Apex Legends roster
There have been many legends added to the game since its inception four years ago. The roster had eight characters at launch and now there are a total of 23 Legends to choose from in the game.
It remains to be seen when the latest addition to the roster will be made. With the new character class system overhaul and the developer’s attempt at changing the meta of the game, it does make sense not to introduce a new legend into the mix before seeing a response to the changes awaiting players in Season 16. apex legends nemesis
