Sonic characters make a huge comeback after more than a decade!
Guess who's back! Three of the coolest Sonic the Hedgehog characters just made an epic return in a super cute two-minute short created by Marza Animation Planet,

The studio behind the awesome CG cutscenes in the Sonic series. You might remember Marza from their work on the mind-blowing intro for Sonic Unleashed, which totally wowed everyone.
Marza got involved in making four special Sonic shorts featuring Sonic and his pal Chip for Unleashed. While fans could unlock three of these animations while playing the game, there was one extra treat in store for Halloween. This special spooky short, Sonic: Night of the Werehog, quickly became a beloved fan favorite, starring the hilarious trio of ghosts, Su, Uh, and Lah.
These three adorable ghosts totally stole the show with their awesome designs and lovable personalities, winning the hearts of fans everywhere even years after their debut. Su, Uh, and Lah became so beloved that even the folks at Marza Animation grew to adore them, basically turning them into the studio's unofficial mascots. And now, after 15 long years, Marza has brought back our favorite ghostly trio in a brand-new short called Ghost Tale, just in time for Halloween. Get ready for some spooky fun!
Ghost Tale is a quick watch, just like its predecessor Night of the Werehog, which you can catch in two parts on YouTube. The new short sticks to the classic storyline, with Su and Uh vying for Lah's attention in their quirky ghostly ways. It's refreshing to see the same energy and charm that made Night of the Werehog so beloved in this new animation. Keep your eyes peeled for some additional ghostly friends and familiar props from the original short lurking in the background, like Lah's Wolfman poster, which sparked her fascination with Sonic's werehog form.
It's heartwarming to witness the return of these spirited characters, especially after Marza Animation Planet kept them alive through art and numerous social media posts throughout the years. The Sonic the Hedgehog IDW comics also gave them a nod, featuring the trio in the depths of Spagonia, one of the standout locations from Sonic Unleashed.
The Sonic franchise has been doing a fantastic job of bringing some of its lesser-known but cherished characters back into the limelight this year. With the triumphant return of Uh, Su, and Lah, along with Fang the Hunter making a prominent appearance in Sonic Superstars, it's a promising sign for fans of the series' extended cast. This could mean even more beloved faces from Sonic's universe might make a comeback in the near future, much to the delight of longtime enthusiasts.
