Khelo India Youth Games 2025: PM Modi Promote Esports To the Youth
Khelo India Opening Ceremony took place on 4th May where Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi took the stage to eduate the youth about the Sports sector. He also mentioned Esports among other jobs as a sub-sector to the youth.

The Khelo India Youth Games have officially begun and we saw some spectacular performances to open the show. The energy was sky-high and people in the stands had a time of their lives witnessing some awesome solo and team performances. There were fireworks all around, live music performances, choreography, sports demonstrations, and more. To even top this up, Bihar's native and superstar Pankaj Tripathi added the cherry on top of the cake. His energy was outstanding and the crowd went WILD!
Pankaj Tripathi's opening speech and performance is going viral on the internet. In 2 minutes, he beautifully explained the history and culture of Bihar. He added "Bihar sirf ek Rajya Nahi, Ek Soch Hai. Ek Sanskriti Hai. Ye Dharti Hai unn Mahan Yug Purushon ki Jinhone Apni Gyaan, Sahasya aur Samarpann Se Itihaas me Amar Pehchan Banai Hai"
PM Modi Promote Esports To the Youth at Khelo India Youth Games
Known for his outstanding public speaking, Shri Narendra Modi also took this opportunity to address the local audience in Bhojpuri for a bit. This was quite unexpected but the crowd most certainly loved it. He also expressed his gratitude to all the athletes participating in the Khelo India Youth Games from different parts of the country. During his speech, he also mentioned the importance of Sports and discussed all the jobs that exist in the Sports sector.
"For an athlete to get better, one needs to play more and more matches. They also need to practice in such high-intensity level tournaments to be a complete player. This is very important" he added. The government is now treating Sports as a priority where tournaments like Khelo India Youth Games, Khelo India Winter Games, Khelo India University Games, and Khelo India Para Games take place for different levels across the entire year.
