These two new playable characters have been talked about for a while now, and, albeit by accident, Twitch has revealed the two heroes that you will see once the update goes live.
From all the places that could give you leaks about Marvel Rivals, Twitch had to be the least expected one. NetEase's third season of Marvel Rivals will be released soon, and it was earlier known that it would feature two new playable characters that were being leaked for a very long time.
These two new playable characters have been talked about for a while now, and, albeit by accident, Twitch has revealed the two heroes that you will see once the update goes live.
In an earlier leak on X, it was shown that Blade is now awake from his sleep and is missing. Now, to everyone's surprise, Marvel Rivals Season 3, titled “The Abyss Awakens,” will feature him and another playable character.
Marvel Rivals Season 3 New Heroes: Blade and Phoenix Green Signalled by Twitch
In a blog post summarizing what one can expect from the Summer Twitch for games like Apex Legends, Roblox, and Marvel Rivals, it was revealed that Blade and Phoenix will be added to the game. The blog post read:

Now with this leak available for all, players will have to wait for just a few more days since the Marvel Rivals Season 3 countdown has begun, and the new update will be released on July 11, 2025. Ahead of that, it is recommended that you keep the pre-load of the game downloaded once it goes live because of how heavy the game usually is.
Once the server maintenance is done, you will be able to jump right into the action and enjoy everything the new update has to offer, including a new map.
