Team Deathmatch replaces Arenas

The highly-anticipated Team Deathmatch mode is finally coming to Apex Legends with Season 16. Respawn has confirmed the arrival of Team Deathmatch and it will replace Arenas in the game.

The developers have announced the sunset for Arenas, which means the mode will be permanently removed from the game.

Team Deathmatch will feature a 6v6 format, but the developer clarified that players will only get to create a squad of 3 when going into a TDM match. They will be paired with a random trios squad to make up a team of 6.

The first team to get 30 kills wins a round, and there will be a Best-of-3 format to decide the winner.

Mixtape

Respawn also announced that a new playlist will be coming to the game mode selection. Similar to how map rotation works, Mixtape will feature several LTM modes that have been released in the past.

These LTM modes will be in rotation at an interval of 15 minutes. Apex Legends Season 16 will feature Gun Run, Control and Team Deathmatch in the Mixtape playlist.

Mixtape will be added on March 7, three weeks after the launch of Season 16, revealed Respawn Entertainment.
