India Today Gaming and Tecno Pova 3 presents ESPL 2 has now entered its fifth week. The Invitational Qualifiers are on, and we are done and dusted with Week 1. We will take a look at the overall standings of the teams at the end of Week 1 of the Invitational Qualifiers. Before we head straight into the second week of the Invitational Qualifiers, we will also look into what’s coming up.

The Invitational Qualifiers, have 16 invited professional teams, competing with the 8 teams who registered from across India for ESPL 2. These underdog squads had secured Ranks 2 to 10 in the Open Qualifiers, held from 21st June to 5th July. Ranks 1 and 2 from the Open Qualifiers have already bagged their spots in the LAN Finals. The Invitational Qualifiers will see five more teams from the 24 squads competing qualify for the LAN Finals. The selection is based on a series of matches, played over two weeks, and we are already down with one. Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday were the League Play, where 18 matches were played. The Top 16 squads played 10 more matches in the Weekly Finals 1, held over Saturday and Sunday. This format will be repeated this week too, and the top 5 will be selected on the basis of the cumulative score over the two weeks. Therefore, let’s take a look at the Top 5, and the Overall Standings at the end of Week 1 of the Invitational Qualifiers.

Today and tomorrow, that is Monday and Tuesday of Week 2, we’ll have exhibition matches where popular BGMI streamers will team up and play against each other. 16 players will be participating, including Alpha Clasher, Blind Zia, Eagle Gaming, Blind Psycho, and Hydra BTS to name a few.
