ESPL 2021: India Today Gaming announces a three month long eSports tournament

As part of the tournament, thousands of teams will compete to represent eight cities across India in Free Fire. This multi-city event will kick-start on May 15 with matches scheduled starting June 16.

India Today Gaming, the eSports and video game division of India Today Group is back with its first eSports event for 2021. This new tournament is called ESports Premier League (ESPL) and will span over a period of three months. As part of the tournament, thousands of teams will compete to represent eight cities across India in Free Fire. The total prize pool for the event currently stands at about Rs 25 lakh.

ESports Premier League is a nation-wide eSports tournament where teams representing different cities will compete against each other. The tournament is divided into three different levels to zero-in on the representing teams. This multi-city event will kick-start on May 15 and will go on till the end of August. It is worth noting that the matches will start from June 16 while the registration opens up on May 15. Free Fire teams will get a chance to represent eight cities including Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Punjab, Rajasthan, Bangalore, and Hyderabad.

Interested teams should note that the registrations for ESPL 2021 will kickstart from May 15, 2021, and will go on until June 14.
