India Today Gaming has just announced the schedule of the second season of its ESports Premiere League (ESPL). Along with it, the tournament organizer also shared information on the maps of the matches across various stages of Season 2. This information follows the news of India Today Gaming announcing the second season of the ESports Premier League, after the inaugural edition last year. This year, India Today Gaming has partnered with Krafton so that the BGMI (Battlegrounds Mobile India) esports teams, athletes, and fans can compete to highlight their talent. Details of ESPL Season 2- Schedule
- Registrations begin on 15th June. If you are above the age of 16, you can register yourself and your squad, by checking into “espl.itg.gg”.
- The Open Qualifiers stage is the first stage of the tournament, and it will be held from June 21 to July 1. This stage will be held online, where the registered teams will compete amongst themselves.
- The Invitational Qualifiers have been scheduled from July 2 to July 15 and are also part of the first stage. Here, 32 of the top BGMI teams from across the country will compete for the top slots to directly enter the offline, LAN finals.
- 12 teams from the Open and Invitational Qualifiers will move ahead to the finals. Wild Card Qualifiers (also known as Last Chance Qualifiers) are to be held from July 16 to July 23, which will give 2 more teams a second chance to enter the finals.
- The Offline Finals League will start on July 30 and end on August 3, to declare the champions.
Details of ESPL Season 2- Maps
The maps available in BGMI are one of the factors which make the game so exciting. Sometimes, the place where you and your team land during a match can be the difference between a Chicken Dinner and a defeat. Looking at the details around ESPL Season 2, the Open Qualifiers will be played on Erangel and Miramar maps. These two are among some of the most popular maps in BGMI. The Invitational Qualifiers will have Erangel as the main map, along with Miramar, Vikendi, and Sanhok. The same goes for the Last Chance Qualifiers and LAN Finals League.
