Mobile gaming: Ahmadabad tops the list of top 48 cities in India for the best gaming experience

As part of the report, the company analyzed “the mobile network experience” in major cities in India. Now, let’s look at the Opensignal chart for the best mobile game experience in Indian cities.

Mobile analytics company Opensignal recently launched a new report talking about the mobile gaming experience in India. As part of the report, the company analyzed “the mobile network experience” in major cities in India. Then, the company used the gathered data to create the “mobile games experience” chart along with ranks. This information comes around the time when smartphone gaming is at its peak in the country. India was already among the top five markets when it came to mobile gaming back in 2018. Considering that India is on the second sport regarding total number of smartphone users, the increasing number of smartphone users directly impacts the smartphone gaming market. Factors like low-cost data, affordable pricing of the smartphones, and improvements in bandwidth have helped the overall gaming experience. Now, let’s look at the Opensignal chart for the best mobile game experience in Indian cities.

Opensignal ranks Indian cities for smartphone gaming experience, details

As per the report, Ahmadabad offered the best mobile gaming experience to its residents when it came to mobile gaming. The city scored 71.6 points in the chart that measures the “Games Experience” metric. This “metric” “measures how users perceive real-time multiplayer mobile gaming” on mobile networks. The metric uses some of the most popular gaming available on smartphones including Call of Duty: Mobile, Clash Royale, and more. Opensignal noted that cities in Gujarat and Maharashtra “dominated” the top rankings. In fact, three of the top four ranks are from Gujarat while the fourth one is from Maharashtra.

Beyond Ahmadabad, Navi Mumbai got the second spot with 70.1 points and Vadodara with 69.8 on the third. Going through the rankings, Mumbai got the sixth spot with 67.8 points, Hyderabad on 13th, Bangalore on 22nd, and Delhi on 27th. We also saw Kolkata on the 31st spot with 57.2 points. Other notable aspects of the rankings include just two Tier-1 cities in the top ten.

The report also highlighted that only four of the eight Tier 1 cities were in the top 20. This show indicates that the country needs to improve the cellular infrastructure across the country, especially in the Tier 1 cities. As part of the chart, the company also noted that multiple factors affect the gaming experience. Some of these aspects include packet loss during gaming and even jitter (the difference between the arrival of the data packets).
