No Man’s Sky developer teases a new “ambitious” game; all we know

'If we had a thousand people working on it, it'd still seem impossible,' said Sean Murray. Read more about the new upcoming game from Hello Games below.

No Man's Sky developer Hello Games is currently developing a “pretty ambitious” game. The project has been described that way by Hello Games co-founder and managing director Sean Murray to IGN

The game is not a sequel to No Man’s Sky which has widely received critical success. The game has won several ongoing awards and continues to perform well for the studio. Instead, it is a new project that is a “kind of project that even if we had a thousand people working on it, it'd still seem impossible.”

Murray’s words are bound to increase excitement in the gaming community. He also mentioned that a small team is working on it solely because that’s how the studio prefers to develop this new game.

There has been no official announcement or trailer drops yet for this game. Murray also mentioned that this new project is in no way hindering the work done for No Man’s Sky. "No Man's Sky is not being held back by the next project but neither is the new thing being slowed by No Man's Sky," he said. Murray also added, "We're lucky enough to be able to allow folks to move freely to work on what excites them."

This isn’t the first time Murray has gone on to hype up a game. He did the same for No Man’s Sky years ago and the game underdelivered in the initial days after the launch. Shuhei Yoshida, former president of Sony Interactive Entertainment World Studios, had also said that it was not “good PR strategy” by Murray to build such expectations. The game, however, proved to be successful in the long run. If history were to repeat itself, Murray and Hello Games could produce yet another amazing game for the gaming community.

No Man's Sky Outlaws update and its features

More news on No Man’s Sky was the recent update. The game introduced Outlaws which added a criminal underworld to the survival game. The update also added space combat to the ever-evolving game. A new high-tech starship class called Solar Ships, new destruction effects, more cargo inventory, and a squadron to help in space combat are just some of those new features added in the Outlaws update.
