PlayStation 5 prices in India up by another 5000 bucks right ahead of fresh restock- Find out new prices, PS5 restock details & more

Shortly after Xbox boss, Phil Spencer touched upon the subject of an incoming price hike for its various products, Sony’s ‘reaction’ reaches us in practice. Sony India's Shop at Sony Centre's website shows an updated price for the much-coveted PlayStation 5 consoles, three days ahead of the next restock. Find out all the details, including the old prices, new prices, availability of the console, and more right here. 

PS5 Price Hike- Details

The news of a price hike in PlayStation 5 was first announced by Jim Ryan himself back in August. The PlayStation Blog shared the new recommended retail price in select markets across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Latin America, Canada, and Asia Pacific. While RRPs of only Japan, China, and Australia were shared, it was mentioned though that markets not listed in the list may also receive price increases. And the list now evidently includes India. A price hike of Rs 5,000 has been applied to both the disk as well as the digital editions. Find out the new prices down below.

PS5 price hike- Causes and Impacts

Jim Ryan cited the ‘high global inflation rates”, “adverse currency trends”, and the pressure it creates on the manufacturing industry behind the decision of increasing the RRPs.
