Pokemon Day 2023 Pokemon Presents showcased yesterday brought with it a series of important announcements from The Pokemon Company. Here's everything latest on Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, the Netflix series Concierge and more.
Yesterday, the Pokemon Company celebrated Pokemon Day with a 25 minute long Pokemon Presents. The showcase brought a number of exciting announcements that Pokemon fans have long been anticipating. This includes news of the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet DLC, Pokemon Sleep, Pokemon Go and more. Here are the highlights from all the announcements made on Pokemon Day 2023.
Pokemon Scarlet and Violet
A new pair of Paradox Pokemon have now been added to the Tera Raid Battles in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet for you to catch. Walking Wake is the Paradox pokemon version of the Suicune, now available in Pokemon Scarlet. This prehistoric version of the Suicune is a Water- and Dragon- type Pokemon. Iron Leaves on the other hand is a Grass- and Psychic- type Paradox Pokemon now available in Pokemon Violet. It is a futuristic version of Virizion. The Tera Raids are now live until March 13, 5:30 am IST.
The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero DLC- Details
Additionally, The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero has been announced to be the first DLC coming to Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. It will be arriving in two parts this very year. The first part, titled The Teal Mask launches in Fall 2023. It is set in Kitakami where you go on a school trip. The second part, Indigo Disk, is slated for launch in Winter this year, and is to take place in Blueberry Academy. You’ll encounter Pokemons rare to the Paldea region in the DLCs, including the newly added Ogerpon and Terapagos.
Pokemon Sleep and Pokemon Go Plus +
Pokemon Sleep is the app that lets you catch Pokemons as you sleep in the night. It is set to launch this year, the date however has not yet been revealed. The game can be played along with the new Pokemon Go Plus + device. You don’t even need your phone in case you have Pokemon Go Plus +. You can track your sleep patterns with the button on the device and your device will automatically collect Pokemons.
Additionally you can connect the device with your progress in Pokemon Go as well. You can use the device to spin PokeStops to collect Pokemons without even opening the app on your mobiles. Pokemon Go Plus + will launch on July 14, 2023.
Pokemon Trading Card Game Classic
Created as a joint venture by nendo, Creatures and The Pokemon Company, the Pokemon Trading Card Game (TCG) Classic will launch in late 2023.
Pokemon Concierge
Netflix is going to make a stop-motion animation series on the franchise, titled Pokemon Concierge. “Set at the Pokémon Resort, the series follows Haru, the resort’s concierge, and the many Pokémon that visit as guests.”
Other announcements include the 3.5 years celebration of Pokemon Masters Ex with bonuses and sync pairs.Additionally, Legendary Pokemon Zacian is now available in Pokemon Unite. Pokemon Cafe ReMix will allow you to collect Greninja in a chef outfit till March 16 on the occasion of Pokemon Day. The Pokemon Company has also revealed artwork for 2023 Pokemon World Championships. It will be held from August 11 to August 13, 2023, in Yokohama, Japan.
