PUBG Corp has just released a new trailer to highlight the discounts and deals that it is offering this week. The company is offering these discounts, rewards, and deals as part of its “Cyber week” in-game event for Thanksgiving. This new trailer comes just days after the company shared a preliminary teaser on its Twitter account. Like our initial report, the company teased discounts on UC (Unknowns Cash), its in-game currency. It will also offer multiple deals on in-game elements including clothes, armor, gear, and other cosmetic items. Inspecting the details, PUBG Corp released 2 minutes and two-second-long trailer to highlight some deals. The trailer opens with the four popular PUBG Mobile characters finding a new box. Opening the box, they find a ticket to a thanksgiving fair. In an attempt to be competitive and grab the ticket from one another, one of the characters accidentally loses the ticket to a strong gust of the wind. The wind pushes the ticket further away leading up the four players to a mystery door. This leads the group to an underground “Thanksgiving” fair.
Digging deeper, it appears that the company has also decided on a tag line for the Thanksgiving fair. This sentence reads, “Strength favors the power, let the profit return”. The trailer also features a disclaimer at the bottom right corner telling users that the video is promotional in nature. It goes on to state that the actual gameplay footage for the Cyber week may be different. As noted above, the video teased deals on weapons, in-game armor, in-game consumables such as energy drinks, first aid kits, and loot boxes.
The trailer also displayed a spinning wheel lucky draw which is identical to the way PUBG offers free in-game items in loot-boxes. PUBG Mobile Cyber week deals also offer a slot-machine-like deal to dish out rewards to lucky players. It is also possible that PUBG Corp may launch an emoji-filled skin full along with weapon skins. Towards the end of the trailer, the company asks users to Register to win some impressive prizes including an OnePlus 8T. It is interesting that the company seems to be teasing a golden ticket-like opportunity to win the grand prize. This trailer comes around the same time when the company is trying to re-launch the game in India.
