In an investigation, a player follows a series of clues or a trail that will lead to some treasure, or get them scores. It is an experience where players interact with the world around them to discover the historical elements that the game has been built upon. For example, messages in bottles lead to the discovery of different factions or tribes, and so on and so forth.

The creators naturally talked alongside about the making of the game, and drew attention to small details that have been intricately hidden in the frames. Special mention was made of the design of the boats, the customizability of the characters, the in-depth research that goes into the making of such a detailed world, and more.  You can check out the full video right here.

Beyond Good and Evil 2 still in production

While Ubisoft is still yet to announce a launch date for Skull and Bones, a spokesperson has confirmed that Beyond Good and Evil 2, another long-awaited project from the developers is still on the way. This information comes in right after Ubisoft announced the shelving of three of its other projects- Prince of Persia, a Tom Clancy game, and another unannounced project.

Beyond Good and Evil 2 on the other hand was announced more than a decade ago as a sequel to the Ubisoft game from 2002. However, it’s not like we heard a lot about the game beyond its 2017 E3 reveal either. Regardless, the project is still in development and has not been shelved by Ubisoft, yet.
