A new Street Fighter is coming next year, 8 years after Street Fighter V, and 26 years since the first game that we played in the arcade. Here’s one fighting game series that has evolved in leaps and bounds, in keeping with the age of the times. And now, you too can be a part of the development of yet another entry- Street Fighter 6, as a game tester. Capcom will be conducting the second closed beta test for Street Fighter 6, this month. Street Fighter 6 Closed Beta Test 2- All you need to know
Capcom has announced that the content of the upcoming Beta Test is the same as that of the 1st Closed Beta test held earlier in October. However, it will have multiple improvements to the game experience along with bug fixes. As for the application process, Capcom has made changes to that as well, since Test 1 saw the unauthorized reselling of access codes.
How to apply, and Requirements
The platforms targeted for the 2nd closed beta are PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC via Steam. Therefore, interested participants need to compulsorily have a Capcom ID linked to either of these platforms. Your system needs to meet certain requirements like a free space of 25 GB or more. Capcom has also provided a minimum and recommended specs list required on PC for the beta test. Additionally, you also need to be above 18 years of age to apply for the closed beta.
Participants of the 1st Closed Beta Test from October, are welcome to try the game out this time as well. They don’t need to re-apply for the upcoming closed beta.
Schedule
Registrations are now live, and applications can be submitted till Sunday, December 11, 8:29 pm IST. Players will be chosen via lottery and not on a first-come, first-serve basis. Capcom will contact selected candidates via e-mail from December 14, 8:30 am onwards. The closed beta test will be conducted for 4 days, from December 16 to December 19.
Content of the 2nd Closed Beta
As we’ve mentioned earlier, the content will be the same as was in the 1st closed beta, with a few bug fixes. Playable characters will include Luke, Jamie, Ryu, Chun-Li, Guile, Kimberly, Juri, and Ken. You’ll get to try your hands at Ranked Matches, Casual Matches, Battle Hub Matches, Open Tournaments, Training Mode, Extreme Battles, and Challenges. You’ll also get a taste of features like Character Creation, Game Centre, DJ Booth, Photo Spot, and the Hub Goods Shop. Stages that you’ll get to play in will include Metro City Downtown, Genbu Temple, the Macho Ring, and the Training Room to name a few.
