The Game Awards, one of the biggest, and the most anticipated award show in the gaming industry are only a month away. As for the nominations, they’ll go live in a few hours. The Game Awards and host Geoff Keighley has on this occasion, announced a partnership with Discord. Along with the jury members, fans too will now be able to cast their votes. The Game Awards Nominations Announcement- Where, how to watch
Producer Geoff Keighley will be revealing the different nominees of The Game Awards 2022, live today at 10:30 pm IST. That’s only a few more hours to go. You can watch the livestream on the official YouTube, Twitch, and Twitter channels of The Game Awards. No membership or pass is required for the same.
Discord X The Game Awards partnership announced
In another update, a new ‘multi-faceted’ partnership with Discord was announced by The Game Awards. As a result, you can also attend the livestream along with others via the Watch Together channel of TGA’s Discord server. Additionally, a new award category is being introduced this year, which will be presented by Discord- Best Community Support. This will go out to the team that “continues to iterate and improve a game based on community feedback”. That’s in addition to the “more than 30 categories” in line for TGA 22, mentioned earlier by Keighley.
Moving on to the cherry on top, Discord will also provide you with the platform to participate in The Game Awards 2022. Once the nominations go live today, you’ll be able to cast your votes on Discord, which will be taken into account while deciding winners. That’s not all. AMA Stage Events featuring special guests have also been announced to go live on the Discord server. “Special guests” will include the likes of Keighley himself, amongst others. More surprises in addition to these events will be announced in the future.
