The Last of Us unanimously needs no introduction in 2023. Even if you are not gamer fans of The Last of Us series from PlayStation and Naughty Dog, the HBO adaptation that everyone’s talking about right now is sure to have reached you. The show had the second biggest launch from HBO ever, with the audience and fans growing progressively with every episode.
The release of the show even brought a spike in the sale of the video games. This means that many are also waiting to try their hands out in remakes when they are to launch this year. On that note, there’s an update on the launch of the PC Remake of The Last of Us Part 1. It has reportedly been delayed. Here’s everything we know.
The Last of Us Part 1 PC release delay- Details
The Last of Us Part 1 PC remake was originally scheduled to launch this year on March 3. The developers, Naughty Dog, have now informed in their latest update from February 3, that the game has been delayed to March 28.
In the notice, they mention about the success of The Last of Us HBO series- “Hearing your love for the HBO adaptation, seeing your beautiful Photo Mode shots, and learning about how the world and characters our studio created nearly a decade ago continue to reach new and old fans alike floors us every day”- they wrote.
They further explained with “We know a lot of you have been revisiting the story that started it all with The Last of Us Part 1 on [the] PlayStation 5 console, and we realized many of you have been excited to jump in — some for the first time — when Part 1 hits PC." As a result, they want to deliver the awaited The Last of Us Part 1 for PC in the “best shape possible”. “These additional few weeks will allow us to ensure this version of The Last of Us lives up to your, and our, standards.”- they say.

Given that The Last of Us Part 1 will be making its debut on PC, the game will thus be introduced to a huge audience for the first time. And Naughty Dog is going big with its focus on making this a success. They recently announced that they have moved on from the Uncharted series to go fully in on The Last of Us.

You can now pre-order The Last of Us Part 1 for PC on Steam and Epic Games Store. It is available at Rs 3,999 here in India. As pre-purchase bonus, you get bonus supplements and bonus weapon parts. Bonus supplements are used to increase attributes such as max health, crafting speed, listen mode distance, healing speed, and improve weapon sway. Bonus weapon parts can be used to upgrade weapons and craft weapon holsters when you are at a work bench. As for the system requirements, both minimum and recommended, they have not yet been revealed.
