Gerighty took to Twitter and wrote, “2023 is going to be huge for us” alongside a picture of the new Star Wars game. The picture had Star Wars written and below it were the names of all the collaborators working on it. Ubisoft, Massive Entertainment and Lucasfilm Games are co-developing this massive open-world title.

This tweet naturally sparked conversations and created a lot of speculation and hype around it. He acknowledged the same in another tweet and said, “This seems to have sparked quite some interest!”. Gerighty went on to clarify what he actually meant. He said, “To be clear, I meant that 2023 will be huge for our teams building our game..."

It looks like Gerighty’s tweet was actually about indicating that Ubisoft is going to hire people to work on the game as he added “which you could be a part of” when he mentioned the game. This also makes sense since the first tweet urged people to “join the adventure”.

Ubisoft’s creative director Julian Gerighty has been at Ubisoft for more than two decades now and most recently served as the co-director of The Division 2.

Massive Entertainment has described their upcoming Star Wars game as a “story-driven, open-world experience within the Star Wars galaxy that will also utilize the studio's cutting-edge technology and advancements, including the Snowdrop engine”.
