Xbox games showcase reportedly planned for this month
This Xbox presentation will reportedly feature AAA titles like Redfall, Minecraft Legends, Forza Motorsport and more. There are also new announcements planned by ZeniMax Online Studios that will be broadcasted live at the showcase.
Microsoft and Bethesda will reportedly be holding an Xbox games showcase this month. ‘Xbox Developer_Direct’ will be the title for this showcase and it will take place later this month on January 25 at 12pm PT / 3pm ET / 8pm GMT. In India, the showcase can be streamed live on January 26 at 1:30 IST.

This report from Jez Corden (via Windows Central) also claims that Starfield is unlikely to feature at all. That would be disappointing news for a lot of Xbox fans out there as the open-world space exploration RPG game is arguably the most anticipated title from the lot.
Corden states that the exclusion of Starfield would be due to a dedicated presentation and marketing plan for it. However, he did not clarify how Xbox and Bethesda will look to present the game, if not at this showcase.
This report, if true, can likely lead to an official announcement for this showcase this week itself.
Meanwhile, Xbox marketing boss Aaron Greenberg tweeted yesterday, “This should be a fun week, excited for the days to progress!” From the looks of it, there’s an announcement coming in which might be for the presentation itself.

This report has come in following criticism faced by Microsoft for their passive participation at The Game Awards in December 2022. Since it’s one of the biggest gaming events of the year and home to many AAA title announcements and trailers, fans were disappointed that they did not get to see more of Redfall, Starfield, Forza Motorsport and more.
