Black Myth Wukong Goku Skin: Mods Let You Play as Goku, A Dragon Ball Makeover

Black Myth: Wukong, the much-anticipated action RPG inspired by the classic Chinese novel "Journey to the West," has had a massive launch.

This game, developed by Game Science, has drawn comparisons to the legendary anime Dragon Ball, as both share a common source of inspiration. Now, fans of the game and Dragon Ball can experience a crossover of sorts, thanks to mods from NexusMods that allow you to play as Goku in Black Myth: Wukong.

Two Goku mods are available for download:

1. Son Goku Mod: This mod adds an anime-accurate version of Goku to the game.
2. Jump Force Goku Mod: This mod brings Goku’s battle-worn look from Jump Force, providing a grittier visual experience.

Both mods replace the first outfit in the game, meaning they work only with specific gear: Tiger Hide Loincloth, Cotton Wristwraps, and Cotton Legwraps.

How to Install the Mods:

1. Open Steam, right-click Black Myth: Wukong, and go to Properties.
2. In Launch Options, type -fileopenlog.
3. Download the desired mod from NexusMods.
4. Right-click Black Myth: Wukong in Steam again, click Manage, and select Browse Local Files.
5. Unzip the mod files and drag the B1 folder into the game files.

After following these steps, you'll be able to roam the world of Black Myth: Wukong as Goku.

It's important to note that performance issues have been reported by some users, especially when running mods on high-end PCs. The game is demanding, and applying mods may exacerbate these issues.

This crossover is especially interesting given that Akira Toriyama, creator of Dragon Ball, was also influenced by "Journey to the West", which explains the similarities between Goku and Sun Wukong, the protagonist of the novel.
