Blizzard President's leaks ignite Overwatch 2 Season 6 anticipation

The sixth season of Overwatch 2 will be released on August 10, marking the official launch date for the game's PvE missions.

Three story missions, a new hero, a core game mode called Flashpoint, and lots of eye-catching cosmetics are all part of the eagerly anticipated content.

Blizzard decorated its campus in anticipation of the release as a way to honour the forthcoming season. Although it appeared inevitable that this display would eventually become popular on the internet, Blizzard's President actually shared it in a since-deleted tweet.

New support hero and Ana Omnic skin for Overwatch 2 leaked

As of right now, though, it's clear that when Invasion starts later this month, gamers will be extremely happy about what's in store for them in terms of cosmetics. The skin looks to be a special Mythic Ana skin, and the sniper seems to have transformed into a potential Omnic. The Battle Pass's theme is ‘Invasion,’ but it's not clear if this alludes to a story spoiler or a non-canon scenario.

Fans also noticed what appears to be the potential new support hero for the game in the upper left corner. She is currently unknown, but the developers have hinted that she will have a very special weapon.

In addition, Reaper, Cassidy, Pharah, and Genji appear in the picture, all sporting skins similar to Omnic. It's unclear if these will be available in the store or as part of the Battle Pass.

With only a few days left until Overwatch 2 Invasion launches, more information is likely to surface in the days preceding the game's release. As of now, though, it's evident that gamers are ecstatic about what awaits them in terms of cosmetics when Invasion begins later this month.
