Call of Duty: Mobile Championship 2022 starts; here is all you need to know

The Call of Duty: Mobile Championship returns in 2022 with a prize pool of $2 million. Find out how to compete, and about the other rewards that you can win at every stage.
The third season of the annual Call of Duty Mobile World Championship kicked off on 31st March. Activision first announced the news on March 14, in a blog post on its website. The 2022 edition of the tournament offers the highest amount in the history of Call of Duty: Mobile World Championship with a prize pool worth $2 million. Activision has already shared the roadmap of the schedule of the championship. Here’s everything you need to know about Call of Duty: Mobile World Championship 2022.
How to participate?
The highlight of the tournament is that anyone can participate in the tournament. The championship takes place in stages which will be elaborated on later in the article. All players who’ve signed up, have received “an all-new Frame and Calling Card”. Information is officially out on only the first stage of the championship, which is the Solo Play round. It is spread over four weeks, till 24th April. Every weekend, interested players can play multiplayer matches which will be counted for evaluation.
Players who complete 10 multiplayer ranked matches over the four weekends and earn 60 points, will qualify for the second stage. They will also receive various in-game rewards. Only matches played between 31st March to 3rd April, 7th April to 10th April, 14th April to 17th April and 21st April to 24th April, will count in the evaluation. The second stage will involve Team Play as per the roadmap published.
What are the stages of the Championship?
The first stage, which is Solo Play, ends on April 24th. The second stage is Team Play. It is scheduled in May. The third stage is the Regional Qualifiers, and it will be held over three weekends in June and July. The first weekend, that is from 17th June to 19th June, the qualifiers will be held in Latin America and India only. EU and Japan will hold it between 24th June and 26th June. From 1st July to 3rd July, selected players from North America will participate in the Regional Qualifiers.

- Latin America Regional Playoffs- 13th and 14th August
- India Regional Playoffs- 13th and 14th August
- EU Regional Playoffs- 20th and 21st August
- Japan Regional Playoffs- 20th and 21st August
- North America Regional Playoffs- 27th and 28th August
The Finals will however be an offline event. No other information has been revealed yet on what the latter stages will involve.
Why should you participate?
The championship involves a prize pool of $2 million, where $1.7 million is reserved for the Finals alone. This makes it the “largest single event payout in Call of Duty: Mobile World Championship history”.
Additionally, you can also represent your region as you qualify into the second stage. Players will win “unique weapon camos”, like HBRa3 Street Cred for EU, MSMC Street Cred for Japan, Locus Street Cred for North America, QXR Street Cred for Latin America, and Type 25 Street Cred for India. A Holger 26 Street Cred along with a Charlie Local Legend skin and Zero Main Event skin can also be won as prizes.
