Dive into the Chills of Phasmophobia: A Thrilling 4-Player Ghost Hunting Survival Game

Greetings fellow gamers! Taking a little breather from the good ol’ gaming news we provide on a daily basis, this one would be a bit different than the usual. Today, I’ll be taking you on a tour to a 4-player survival game called Phasmophobia.

As the name itself suggests, Phasmophobia basically means the fear of ghosts, and knowing that, one doesn’t have to pull a Sherlock to know what the game would be about. Loading into the lobby, the player would spawn into a room with equipment and some side games to play whenever you’re waiting for the rest of your party to join in.

The basic funda of the game- inspect an abandoned house of evidence and collect 3 of them to discover the type of ghost you’re dealing with. Before starting, you need to buy equipment which would be necessary to collect evidences. A torch, EMF reader, thermometer, spirit box, DOTS projector, Book, Video camera, camera and Salt are the main ones, so if you’re new to the game, make sure you keep these along. 

Once you enter the house, or even open the front door, the timer in the truck is triggered. In the amateur and intermediate levels, the ghost says trapped in one stop for about 2 minutes, which is when you should go inside and start looking for the ghost room. The ghost room is where the ghost’s activity is as its peak, and where it would also spawn at the beginning of a hunt. I know… I just said a bunch of words which probably confused you BUT, lets start from the basics.

A ghost activity is the little things a ghost does around the house to make it’s presence known. It would be throwing random objects around, talking, or moving doors around. It is a very minor activity and doesn’t pose a threat, but you can click pictures of it to gain extra dollars. 

A hunt on the other hand, is when a ghost seeks to kills players. Let’s go back to the truck, where your equipment is kept. The truck also has a bunch of screens, out of which one tells the average sanity of the players. It starts off at 100%, and keeps going down the longer you stay in the house.

In almost all the cases, a hunt is never initiated above the average sanity of 50%, except when it comes to a Demon. A demon is a type of ghost that can start a hunt at any time, regardless of the average sanity. It can even start one as soon as you enter the house, so maybe keep a third eye open for all possible evidence, yes? 

That’s all you need to do! There are also a bunch of objectives you could do in order to get additional money. And in case you think the ghost isn’t active enough, maybe try taking it’s name.. but don’t say I didn’t warn you. This is a very fun game to play with friends, especially if they’re wusses.
