First glance at the Goku Black skin for Fortnite

Epic Games has finally released the first official image of Goku Black following numerous rumours regarding a future Fortnite x Dragon Ball collaboration. A PlayStation Store front advertisement led to the discovery of it. To honour Goku Day on May 9, 2023, it was rumoured that the skin would be added to the Item Shop, but sadly nothing happened. It appeared for a while that the skin would continue to be a rumour.

Having said that, there is no information available regarding the release date of the Goku Black skin for Fortnite, despite an official teaser being released. There is no timeline in place, despite the fact that the game's files contain the confirmed skin-related assets. But now that Epic Games has started to publicly advertise the upcoming skin, it should be available in the Item Shop very soon—possibly by the end of this week.

Because of leakers and data miners, the skin is still not in the game, but there is some idea of what the collaboration will entail for players. Similar to other animated skins in the game, Goku Black will be cel-shaded. While not all players enjoy these kinds of skins, a certain percentage of the player base does.

There will also be two variations or styles of the Goku Black skin. One of them will be the character's default avatar, and the second one might be connected to the anime's power-up aura. Although it appears that this second variation/style might have a pink head, that is currently unknown.

Dual Pickaxe (Harvesting Tool) will also be featured in Goku Black. According to the information in the files, it appears that the Dual Pickaxe will remain out while sprinting. Right now, it's unclear what this means. Both the cost and the level of availability are unknowable variables.

However, based on prior Fortnite x Dragon Ball collaborations, the price of the skin's bundle may be close to 2,000 V-Bucks. This will apply to the character's outfit, harvesting tool, and any other cosmetics.
