While the base game looks great, these shaders promise you an out-of-the-box Minecraft experience. Want to find out more? Give this a good read to know more about the best shaders in existence.
Minecraft has been a kid and teenage heartthrob for years now, and the game is just too versatile to get bored of. For those who don’t know about this wonderful, brain-cranking game, (which we reckon would be a small portion of players) Minecraft is an open world, block building sandbox game in a three-dimensional game which was developed by Mojang studios in 2011. It’s undoubtedly been a kid’s favourite for everyone who started off young playing video games, since it helps in creative development and teamwork.
While the graphics of the game have always been unique and (adorable!) some amazing minds have worked on taking the graphics up a notch by introducing shaders. Sounds familiar? If not, we’re here to tell you!
Shaders are basically mods that change the entire look of the game, by adding gorgeous textures and, enhancing he overall lighting of the game, and adding some realistic elements to the game like water waves and ripples, foggy clouds and a better-looking sun (not the spongebob squarepants type sun that’s normally there).
1) BSL Shaders: These are THE most used and loved shaders in the Mojang world, as they enable you to add amazing realism to your world and customize most of them too.
2) Complementary Shaders: These shaders give the game a brighter cleaner finish, and has more subtle clouds compared to the ones in BSL. Another thing to know about this shader is that the air is a bit clearer here and the fog is thicker, so one might face some visibility issues. You can even change the wind speed and and star visibility during the night.
3) SEUS Shaders: These shaders SCREAM realism, as they consist of real time shadow effects, very clear water texture and trees swaying along the wind. These shaders are best to use during the nighttime because of how realistic the zombies and endermen look, so please don’t let your little ones witness it.
4) Sildurs Vibrant shaders: Living up to it’s namesake, these shaders are absolutely stunning. These shaders are unique because of the way the sunlight changes the colour of the clouds. The clouds are light and makes nights look even prettier.
5) Nostalgia shaders: This is a very basic shader, but don’t underestimate how it manages to enhance the graphics while keeping the blocky concept of the base game. This was named as one of the first-gen shaders, and tends to look even moodier and spectacular during the nights.
There are a lot of Minecraft mod websites offering these shaders, simply download Optifine or Iris to be able to run these shaders. And… perhaps make sure you have a device strong enough to run them too!
