While levels aren’t a major concern in the initial phases of gameplay in Hogwarts Legacy, their importance can be felt as you progress. Levels are often a prerequisite for certain main quests as well as Side Quests. If you’re targeting only the main story, there is a high possibility that you may have to grind separately to reach the required level. In that case, you must have wondered how to do it faster. Collect Field Guides

The best way to ensure that your level progress is consistent with your gameplay, is to keep a track of the field guides around you. Make sure that you never lose out on a field guide that you come across when you do. However insignificant and distracting it may sound, it will help you in the long run. Also, spoiler alert, you will be required to complete your Field Guide, in case you want to finish your school year in its entirety, and attend the House Cup. 

There are more ways to collect field guides than just the ones you see flying around with Accio, or those revealed with Revelio. The castle of Hogwarts, the entire map of Hogwarts Legacy for that matter is ridden with puzzles that ultimately present you a Field Guide page once you solve them. Complete as many Side Quests as possible

Additionally, Side Quests will also help you add XPs to your level. The good part about this is that you anyway need to finish certain side quests to unlock certain Main Quests. 

The Dark Arts Battle Arena

If you own the Digital Deluxe Edition, you will have access to the Dark Arts Battle Arena. Here you will face a series of enemies at a go, which will help you gain XPs very fast, given the number of kills you make. 

Maximum Level Cap in Hogwarts Legacy

The maximum level cap of Hogwarts Legacy is 40. The maximum level prerequisite on the other hand is Level 34, which is required for the last main quest- House Cup. You do not complete the game by 100% if you have not reached Level 40.
