Achieving Backstab Kills can be challenging, as opponents can quickly take you down with their rifles the very moment you reveal your melee weapon. Luckily, we have some effective tips to help you succeed in this task. 
Firstly, it is highly recommended to play in Infected Mode instead of regular multiplayer. The chaotic nature of Infected mode means players are  primarily focused on eliminating infected players- which by the way, can provide better opportunities for Backstab Kills. 

Now, take advantage of this situation by sneaking up behind your opponents and using your melee weapon to secure a Backstab Kill. 

Moreover, players should adopt a more passive playstyle rather than aggressively ambushing opponents. Also do look out for hidden spots on the map where enemies are more likely to pass without being alerted.
