PUBG announces collaboration with Dead By Daylight for halloween, set to introduce limited time horror game mode

PUBG is about to let players enjoy the Halloween season with a brand new content update. Krafton is collaborating with Dead by Daylight to introduce items and crates inspired and themed around the asymmetrical horror multiplayer game. To take it up a notch, PUBG Battlegrounds will also be featuring a new Dead By Daylight-inspired limited game mode which essentially turns PUBG into somewhat of a horror game to enjoy. This live event will kick off on October 19 on PC and Oct. 20 on consoles. It’ll run on until December 7 and 8 respectively. This event will also be making its way to PUBG New State, the mobile battle royale game. 

PUBG Battlegrounds collaboration with Dead By Daylight

PUBG Battlegrounds will be the main game for this collaboration. There will be several cosmetics including four masks, four costumes, a nameplate, three backpack skins and a skin for the frying pan weapon. Survive The Hunt is the aforementioned game mode headed to PUBG Battlegrounds. It’ll pit three players together as they look to work together and survive against another player who will serve as the killer.

The players must repair generators on a map, power it up and escape before the fourth player kills them. This collaboration works both ways as players of Dead by Daylight will also get a chance to grab some PUBG-themed rewards in the game. There will be an exclusive mask, spray and PUBG-themed outfit in Dead By Daylight as part of this two-month event.

PUBG New State

PUBG New State, not PUBG Mobile which was banned in India, will sadly not feature Survive The Hunt game mode. Instead, players will receive Dead By Daylight-themed items and crates, starting on October 20 and ending on November 20. There will be more information released about the PUBG New State collaboration later on. 

PUBG Battlegrounds is a free-to-play game available on PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, as well as Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5. Players can download PUBG New State on both iOS and Android devices. Dead by Daylight is available on PC, Nintendo Switch, mobile devices, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.
