Rainbow Six movie adaptation currently in development, with John Wick director Chad Stahelski and Michael B. Jordan

A Rainbow Six movie has now been confirmed to be in the making. The John Wick director, Chad Stahelski has reportedly been roped in for the project, along with Michael B. Jordan. Here’s one more movie that gamers and gaming enthusiasts will be anticipating now. Read on for all the details now out on the live-action adaptation of Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six. 

Rainbow Six movie details- Cast, Direction and Production

The information comes from an exclusive reveal by The Hollywood Reporter. THR has announced that Paramount is now producing the sequel to its 2021 action-thriller, Without Remorse, also based on Tom Clancy’s novel of the same name. The movie served as the origin story of the Navy SEAL-turned-CIA operative John Clark. Michael B. Jordan will be reprising his role as John Clark in the upcoming movie based on Rainbow Six, which will act as a sequel to Without Remorse (2021).

As for Chad Stahelski, he’ll be directing the movie. That’s despite his busy schedule with multiple projects lined up like John Wick: Chapter 4, slated for release this March. The John Wick movie series is said to have planned a fifth installment as well. Along with it, Stahelski is reportedly working on an adaptation of PlayStation’s Ghost of Tsushima, and a remake of Highlander starring Henry Cavill. 

Regardless, Stahelski will also be acting as an executive producer to the Rainbow Six movie, under his banner of 87Eleven Entertainment, alongside Jason Spitz and Alex Young. Michael B. Jordan is also co-producing the movie with Ellizabeth Raposo under the banner of Outlier Society. 

Paramount is at the helm of the movie. Unlike the Amazon launch of Without Remorse, they are aiming at a theatrical release for the Rainbow Six movie. However, the decision is reportedly not finalized yet, and will be made official in the later phases of the production. As for the other details of the movie, nothing like the plot details, release date etc, has yet been revealed.
